Recent feedback from one of NASH’s longest standing customers, Pentagon Chemicals, reinforces our focus on taking a long term, value based approach working with customers and partners.
Entering our fourth decade of supporting the Workington site in Cumbria, we’ve built up an impressive service portfolio with Pentagon that has become the blueprint for our model with other volume seal users.
In the 1980’s we provided a responsive and reliable service to ensure the facility maintained uptime, ensuring not only that seal failure was minimised but increasingly that the right seals were being used for the right applications.
Over time, our arrangement with Pentagon has grown to be more advisory. As failures began to decline in the 1990’s, our attention turned to improving the Mean Time Between Failure (MTBF) which meant taking on a site-wide agreement to maintain not only the majority of the pump and agitator seals, but also 80% of the pumps.
By the 2000’s, NASH was advising Pentagon on specification and installation of modern chemical process pumps – which were more robust, were designed to last much longer and critically be more reliable.
Today, the Workington site is a very high performing, highly optimized plant.
Simon Savage, Site Director, Pentagon Speciality Chemicals comments “Pentagon is very happy with the service NASH provides and in time hope that other sites within Pentagon, and now Vertellas look to NASH too”.
