Company History

Founded in 1966, NASH was initially operated as an agent for US mechanical seal manufacturer Durametallic. NASH provided aftermarket service and support the Durametallic’s installed seal base in the UK

From these early beginnings, the business prospered.

In 1977, the NASH management recognised the opportunity to provide seal end-users and rotating equipment manufacturers with mechanical seal services. These markets have particular needs for the efficient turn-around of high-quality seal repair and support services coupled with a focus on maximising plant performance.

Consequently, NASH began independently repairing and improving the many different brands and types of seal used throughout industry.

In 1995, NASH responded to the increasing demand from users of critical, high performance rotating equipment such as high duty pumps, agitators and turbomachinery. Consequently, the company took the decision to specialise in the complex, technically demanding seals often fitted to this type of equipment.

Today – it continues to be our uncompromised integrity that empowers our customers to maximise their critical plant seal performance.

From the start, NASH has been owned and run by the Hoyle family. They combine the focus on practical service and attention to detail that comes from an owner-managed business with the dedicated professional and high-specification service delivery that comes from over 50 years’ experience in a complex technical engineering field.
